Inter set the Davide Frattesi asking price at either €35m or with a strong player in part-exchange, as Nottingham Forest, Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray and Besiktas all continue to hover.

The midfielder is frustrated at the lack of playing time at San Siro, even with the Hakan Calhanoglu injury, and his representatives are believed to be pushing for the exit in the January transfer window.

However, the Nerazzurri know he is a valuable player and are not prepared to let the Italy international go unless it is a permanent transfer worth €35m or they get someone in exchange.

Besiktas and Galatasaray had already tried and failed to sign him on loan with an option to buy.

Over the last few days, Nottingham Forest have emerged as contenders, with Sky Sport Italia reporting today that negotiations with his entourage are continuing.

Inter would like former Bologna winger Dan Ndoye as part of the move, but that seems unlikely.

The latest contenders for Frattesi are Atletico Madrid, who just released one Italy international by sending Giacomo Raspadori to Atalanta.

According to Fabrizio Romano and Calciomercato.com, the Spaniards could try to include Nico Gonzalez in an exchange, but that would not be possible in January.

It’s because he has already played for both Juventus and Atletico Madrid this season, so couldn’t represent a third different club.
