Inter set to re-sign Aleksandar Stankovic from Club Brugge | OneFootball

Serie A side Inter have been keeping a close eye on the development of their ex-youth player Aleksandar Stankovic, who was sold to Club Brugge last summer.

Now, they are set to bring him as a way to bolster their midfield for next season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport make it clear that the midfielder will return to Inter in the summer. The Nerazzurri had two options – either buy him back in the summer of 2026 for €23 million or the following summer for €25 million. They have decided to not wait another season and execute their option to buy immediately. They also do not want to pay extra money when they know that Stankovic is now a fully-developed player.

Therefore, the 20-year-old will move back to Inter at the end of the season. Their idea is to observe him from up close and then make a decision on his future. There is every chance Stankovic stays in the squad and plays for Inter next season but he could yet leave for another club, with several clubs interested.
