Internacional have ended their pursuit of Pedro Raul and are not expected to make an offer to Corinthians, according to VAVEL. The 29-year-old striker had been discussed as a potential addition.

Last week, technical director Abel Braga phoned the player to express interest in bringing him in. However, the interest cooled soon after.

With limited minutes at Corinthians, Pedro Raul has attracted loan enquiries from two Série A sides, Vitória and Remo. He has expressed a desire to remain at a leading club.

He joined Corinthians in 2024, under Augusto Melo, in a deal worth US$ 5 million to Toluca for 100% of his economic rights. The fee was due in four instalments, two in 2024 and two in 2025.

After Corinthians delayed the early payments, the clubs renegotiated the terms, lifting the cost to at least US$ 8 million. The revised sum is to be paid in nine instalments between 2025 and 2028.

Despite the outlay, he has not matched expectations, delivering four goals and four assists in 64 appearances. In 2026 he has yet to score, providing two assists, against Barra in the Copa do Brasil and against São Paulo in the Campeonato Paulista.

Pedro Raul remains available to head coach Fernando Diniz for the rest of the season. Corinthians play Remo on Thursday in the 19th round of the Brasileirão at Neo Química Arena, 19:30.
