Arab football faces a crisis, and some players are moving on, with Darwin Núñez and Marcos Leonardo among those linked with exits and even with Flamengo. According to Coluna Do Fla, Saudi reports suggest Inzaghi wants to keep Darwin Núñez and leave Marcos Leonardo available on the market.

The European transfer window is closed, with only the Brazilian and Russian windows still open. The reports mention intention only, with no concrete offers for either player.

If a European club wants one of the two, it would need to wait for the mid-year window and hope the striker does not sign elsewhere before then.

A move for Darwin Núñez would be difficult for Flamengo, the centre-forward earns 16 million euros per year, which sits beyond the club’s usual levels. Marcos Leonardo is seen as the more viable option.

Even so, the Brazilian has decided to remain at Al-Hilal at least until June this year. His plan is to evaluate a new project from the second half of 2026, whether in Europe, Saudi Arabia or Brazil.

Flamengo face Sampaio Corrêa on Saturday 07 at the Maracanã in the sixth round of the Campeonato Carioca. Kick-off is at 21:00 Brasília time.
