Hearts could win the Scottish Premiership tonight for the first time since 1960 as they host Falkirk at Tynecastle.

A win for Hearts combined with a defeat for Celtic and Motherwell would break the Old Firm’s duopoly of the Scottish top-flight.

Not since Sir Alex Ferguson’s Aberdeen, in 1985, has a team outside of Celtic or Rangers gone on to lift the title.

But while Derek McInnes’ side have enjoyed an outstanding season, Celtic’s fate is also still in their hands.

Martin O’Neill’s team host Hearts at Parkhead on Saturday, so can take a thrilling title race to the wire with a win of their own.

Is Hearts v Falkirk on TV?

It will be shown live on Sky Sports Football, not Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage starting from 7pm BST. Kick-off is 8pm.

Is Motherwell v Celtic on TV?

The other game in the title race will be shown live on Sky Sports +, an additional channel that can be accessed via the red button, Now TV, or the Sky app.

What is the team news?

Hearts were dealt a “terrible” blow against Motherwell as both key centre-back Craig Halkett and midfielder Marc Leonard ruptured their Achilles, with the pair ruled out for nine months. But there was better news as left back Harry Milne and midfielder Cammy Devlin were passed fit, with both available to start against Motherwell.

After a thrilling title race full of twists or turns, it could all come down to tonight.

If Hearts beat Falkirk at home and Celtic lose away to Motherwell, Hearts will be champions with one game to spare.

Both games kick-off at the same time (8pm BST), so any goals at Tynecastle or Fir Park will filter through to the other team.

Celtic can guarantee the title goes down to the final day as long as they avoid defeat at Motherwell.
