Federico Dimarco has gone from strength to strength this season, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most prolific defenders.

Indeed, the 28-year-old has registered six goals and 15 assists in 28 league appearances this season.

Therefore, he is the most creative wingback in Europe’s top-five leagues, let alone Serie A.

Although his current contract runs out in 2027, the San Siro giants are already working on extending his deal.

Federico Dimarco Declares Love for Inter Milan

Dimarco’s scintillating form at San Siro has drawn attention from several top European clubs.

However, the Nerazzurri are keen to reward the Italian star with a new long-term contract.

In the meantime, Dimarco will try to help Italy secure a place at the World Cup.

Gennaro Gattuso’s men face Northern Ireland in a high-stakes playoff semi-final tie tomorrow night, with Dimarco expected to start.

“We’ve practically always played together, between Parma and Inter,” Dimarco said about his relationship with Alessandro Bastoni. “We have a great relationship that goes back a long way.”

Then, he explained what Inter means to him.

“I could say many things about Inter, but in the end, what stays with me the most is having grown up here and having met so many people who helped me develop in every aspect.

“I consider Inter a second family. The secret to winning is making everyone feel part of one big family.”
