It's exactly 18 years since one of the Premier League's greatest ever partnerships was born.
On this day in 2007, Fernando Torres made his Anfield debut and showed, within minutes, why it was one of the great signings in their history.

His link-up with Steven Gerrard would be a trademark for four years, but it was birthed against Chelsea in their opening home game of the 2007/08 season.
A laser-accurate pass from Gerrard found Torres, but with work to do, the Spaniard used his trickery to get into the penalty area and fired past Petr Cech.
With it, a legend was born.
