Jaden Philogene will not sign for Benfica as Roma and Bologna monitor winger

According to Glorioso 1904, Jaden Philogene was linked with Benfica in recent days but will not be signing for the club.

The winger moved to a Premier League club in January 2025 from Aston Villa in a deal worth 23.5 million euros. He has since impressed for the Tractor Boys, scoring 13 goals in 36 games last season.

His pace, one-on-one ability and knack for goals have caught the eye of several clubs across Europe.

The England under-21 international wants to take a step up and play for a team with regular European involvement. Roma and Bologna are monitoring the 24-year-old this window.

Despite the links, Philogene is not on Benfica’s shortlist. Rui Costa does not intend to move for the winger, while other European sides continue to follow him.
