Jadon Sancho: Five Premier League sides vying for his signature

While fans are rightly concerned about signings in the summer, Manchester United officials know it is just as important to get their outgoings spot on.

The Red Devils are expected to raise £70 million through the sales of Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund in the summer.

INEOS are also focusing on trimming a bloated wage bill, with Casemiro already announcing his departure, while Tyrell Malacia is also expected to follow suit.

Jadon Sancho is another player on the same boat, and even though the club have the option of extending his deal by a year, they do not plan to take up that option.

Another failed loan

He failed on loan at Chelsea and is currently on loan at Aston Villa. It has been a similar story at Villa Park with the Englishman netting only one goal and registering a solitary assist to his name, and as things stand, it looks unlikely that the Villans will sign him permanently.

However, Teamtalk have now revealed that as many as five Premier League teams are eyeing a move for the soon-to-be free agent and have even made calls to understand his future plans.

Serie A clubs, Turkish teams, as well as Saudi Pro League sides are all in the mix, but as things stand, the 25-year-old is in favour of returning to Borussia Dortmund for a third stint.

The Bundesliga side see him as a low-risk investment, and are keen on another reunion. Villa could enter the race provided they qualify for the Champions League and Jadon Sancho improves leaps and bounds between now and the end of the season.

Premier League teams remain interested in Jadon Sancho

“Jadon Sancho is understood to have advised his agents over which club he would ideally like to join this summer, TEAMtalk understands, with his Manchester United career now months from officially being over and with Aston Villa continuing to sit on making the move permanent.

“Borussia Dortmund stand out as the frontrunners due to past ties. Sources state Sancho would welcome a return to the Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund are open to making an offer, viewing the reunion as a low-risk opportunity to recapture his best form. To fuel their chances, we understand Sancho himself has named the Bundesliga side as his preferred destination, with exploratory talks underway.

“Aston Villa, for their part, are still to decide to make the loan permanent. Emery has praised Sancho’s qualities and suggested the club could pursue a deal if he continues improving. Villa are seen as strong contenders, potentially battling Dortmund for his signature, especially if they secure Champions League qualification.

Another return to Dortmund on the cards

“Sources also say at least five unnamed Premier League sides and other European teams are monitoring the situation and have made calls over recent weeks. Turkish giants like Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas are very keen and are very interested in him as a free transfer. The Saudi Pro League is also an option, and they are looking at Sancho as a potential incoming for the summer.”

The sooner the Jadon Sancho saga ends, the better. He has been among the worst signings in the club’s recent history, with an attitude to match his failed exploits on the pitch.
