Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala sent his reaction on Instagram following Joshua Zirkzee’s impressive brace against Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Netherlands international started his United career with a late winner off the bench against Fulham. He failed to score in his next 17 appearances. The dreadful streak ended yesterday.

Zirkzee scored a goal in either half against the Toffees. He was one of the stand-out performers alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo.

Shortly after the game, the Dutchman posted on Instagram. He received plenty of praise from several players including Musiala, who played alongside him at Bayern.

The German star commented with a double fire emoji after Zirkzee’s sublime performance.

The 23-year-old has had a tough start to his United career. His recent goalless run increased speculation that he could return to the Italian top-flight.

United manager Ruben Amorim surprised many fans by starting the former Bologna man up front. Zirkzee repaid the faith by scoring a brace.

Aside from his goal, he completed 87 percent of his passes with two chances created. Zirkzee received a 8/10 rating from Manchester Evening News.

He still needs to improve on his duel-winning ability. He won just two out of 11 duels yesterday and that could hinder his starting prospects in future.

United take on Arsenal on the road in the Premier League on Wednesday night. It is most likely that Rasmus Hojlund will start ahead of Zirkzee.

Hojlund netted a brace against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League. The Dane is better equipped to handle the physical presence of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba.
