Speaking after netting his first Premier League goal for Leeds United, James Justin believes his team secured an important result on the road against Everton.

The England international opened the scoring at the Hill Dickinson Stadium but the Whites were forced to settle for a draw on the trip to Merseyside.

“At the end of the day, it is a good point for us to step in the right direction,” Justin explained after the full-time whistle.

“Obviously, it feels a bit gutting conceding late on but I feel like it was a deserved point in the end and each team dominated a half which is going to happen in the Premier League.

“They brought on some extra quality and I feel like that took them over the edge and they were playing in some nice positions.”

Discussing the first-half strike, Justin added: “Pretty similar to my first goal for Leeds a couple of weeks ago.

“But just arriving late and just the will to get into the box is a big thing and it is something I have been working on and hopefully I can get a few more this season.

“We know that our goal is to stay in the Premier League no matter what happens. We know where we need to be at the end of the season. So, every point is a point in the right direction.”
