Andrée Jeglertz says Iman Beney and Laura Wienroither are unavailable for City’s FA Cup final clash with Brighton.
There was positive news on Lauren Hemp, though, with the boss revealing the England international is ready for the competition’s showpiece after retuning to full training this week.
The Blues will be without Swiss international Beney and Austrian defender Wienrotiher for the trip to Wembley with the duo picking up respective injuries in the build-up to the showpiece.
Indeed, Hemp was substituted in the first half of City’s final Barclays Women’s Super League clash of the season at West Ham ahead of lifting the top-flight crown.
But after featuring in the sessions in preparations for Brighton, Jeglertz confirmed she is available for selection against the Seagulls.
“Unfortunately two players picked up injuries. Laura Wienroither and Iman Beney. They are not available for this week or for their national teams,” Jeglertz explained.
“She [Hemp] has been training the last days. She will be available for the weekend.”
Elsewhere, Jeglertz confirmed that Ayaka Yamashita, Rebecca Knaak and Vivianne Miedema are back in contention for the FA Cup final with the trio missing the trip to West Ham earlier in May.
“Both of them are available. She [Miedema] will also be available.”
Ahead of City’s trip to Wembley, Leila Ouahabi announced she is to depart the Club at the end of her current contract this summer.
A centurion for the Blues, the defender has totalled 105 outings since her arrival in the summer of 2022 and helped us to match our best-ever top-flight tally in two of her four seasons at the Club.
The 2025/26 FA Cup final will bring the curtain down on her time in sky blue, and for Jeglertz, he says Ouahabi’s presence will be missed at the Joie Stadium.
He added: “Leila has been in this club for four years and 100 games.
“ A big part of the development of the team. She will definitely be missed. As a person and as a football player.
“She’s a great person and I really wish her all the best. That’s how it is football. She found a new environment and I wish her all the best.”
