Manchester United Women are considering signing another Womens Super League star before the transfer deadline tomorrow.

Quiet summer so far

United have so far had a quiet window only bringing in two players.

Julia Zigiotti Olme was signed from Bayern Munich and has so far been a great signing, playing a key role in United advancing to the third round of the Champions League qualifiers.

They have also brought in former FC Barcelona winger Fridolina Rolfö on a free transfer but injury has so far prevented her from making her debut.

Nonetheless, many fans feel the club needs to add further quality to the young team to really try and compete for the Super League title and also advance in the Champions League.

Jess Park

There were rumours that Manchester City would pursue a deal for United’s starlet Grace Clinton but reports today suggest it could be United raiding their neighbours.

The Guardian report that “Manchester United are exploring a move to sign the England midfielder Jess Park from Manchester City before the Women’s Super League transfer window shuts on Thursday.”

The English midfielder has been with City for eight years and made her debut as a 16-year-old.

She was also part of England’s Euro 2025 winning side alongside United stars Ella Toone, Maya Le Tissier and Grace Clinton. The midfielder has played 20 times for her national side, scoring three goals.

Wealth of experience

Park was part of the City side that won the FA Cup in 2020 and has Champions League experience with United’s bitter rivals.

She is also a vital cog in the Citizens midfield, playing 21 out of 22 matches in the Women’s Super League last season.

Park is still only 23-years-old but has a wealth of experience, making her a potentially valuable signing for Marc Skinner’s side.

She has been described as a player who “creates options, with her natural instinct being to locate and move into open spaces when possible.”
