Jesse Lingard attended Corinthians’ women’s Paulista match against Ferroviária at Fazendinha on Friday evening, accompanied by his daughter Hope.

“She wanted to meet the team and train with them. There is no pressure on her to become a player, she could do anything, but she loves football, and I will not force her to do anything,” he told Cazé TV.

Hope arrived in Brazil late on Wednesday. On Thursday, she and Lingard joined part of the women’s training session.

Before kick-off, the pair watched the Brabas warm up from pitchside. Hope was invited to enter the pitch alongside Gabi Zanotti before the clássico.

Hope lives in England, shares training clips on social media, takes private sessions and represents Cameroon Doherty Coaching (CDC Academy). Lingard often attends her sessions and posts videos of them training together.

He joined Corinthians in March 2026 on a deal to the end of the season, with an automatic renewal if targets are met, after leaving FC Seoul as a free agent. He has 18 appearances, nine starts, with eight wins, five draws and five defeats, plus two goals and one assist, and could add to that next Thursday against Remo at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena in round 19 of the Brasileiro.

It is the Brabas’ first official outing since 30 May, when they beat Palmeiras 1-0 at Nubank Parque to reach the Copa do Brasil last 16. Corinthians are fourth in the Paulista on four points, with leaders Ferroviária on nine, and the sides meet again on Monday at 20:00 at Arena Fonte Luminosa in a single-leg last-16 tie.
