Barcelona president Joan Laporta has late this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the recent efforts of club director Deco on the registration front.
This of course comes fresh off an altogether productive 24 hours for those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona are primed to kick the defence of their La Liga title into gear on Saturday evening, in a meeting with Mallorca at Son Moix.
In the buildup to the clash, the Blaugrana were left in very real danger of being forced to make do without either of their high-profile summer signings.
This came as Joan García and Marcus Rashford remained unregistered owing to financial constraints.
In the end, though, Deco and his team of directors managed to get the job done, navigating the complicated path placed before them by La Liga to ensure that Joan and Rashford will be at the disposal of Hansi Flick at Son Moix.
And as alluded to above, the significance of as much has not been at all lost on Barca president Joan Laporta.
Speaking during an appearance in front of the media on Saturday, Laporta explained:
“I said it last night that Deco was working very well on this issue and that we were convinced we could count on both players today. We have to congratulate Deco on this issue, which, as you can see, is not easy.”
