Jobe Bellingham suspended for two games | OneFootball

In the 53rd minute, Bellingham caught Freiburg player Philipp Treu on the foot after a pass from Gregor Kobel. Referee Felix Zwayer showed Bellingham the red card and awarded Freiburg a free kick. The BVB midfielder will therefore miss the Bundesliga home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach (19 December 2025, 20:30 CET) and the away game at Eintracht Frankfurt (9 January 2026, 20:30 CET).

The verdict reads as follows: "The German Football Association (DFB) Sports Court has imposed a two-match ban on Jobe Bellingham of Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in a single-judge proceeding following charges brought by the DFB Control Committee for unsportsmanlike conduct. In addition, the player is also suspended from all other league matches for his club until the suspension expires. Bellingham was sent off by referee Felix Zwayer in the 53rd minute of the Bundesliga match at SC Freiburg on 14 December 2025. The ruling is final."
