Joey Saputo receives honorary citizenship

This afternoon, at the Palazzo D’Accursio, during an extraordinary meeting of the City Council, President Joey Saputo was awarded honorary citizenship of Bologna.

His wife, Carmie, and his son, Luca, were joined by the entire Bologna management staff and Rossoblù players Lorenzo De Silvestri, Riccardo Orsolini, Lewis Ferguson and Federico Ravaglia at the ceremony, which was introduced by the President of the City Council, Maria Caterina Manca, and the Mayor of Bologna, Matteo Lepore.

In his speech, Joey Saputo thanked the Mayor, the Municipal Councillors and every Bologna citizen and gave a positive assessment of his first ten years in the city.
