Magesi FC head coach John Maduka is confident his side will turn the corner amidst a winless start to the 2025/26 campaign.

The Limpopo-based outfit is on a six-game winless run in the Betway Premiership, having secured three draws and suffered as many defeats.

Magesi are currently in 15th place after six league outings, and the Malawian tactician has admitted to being concerned about the dire situation.

“It’s always worrying [when you don’t win], especially because there are so many games we could have done so much better whenever we were in control of the games. We created so many scoring opportunities, but we didn’t score,” said Maduka.

While he acknowledges his team is in a precarious position in the early stages of the season, Maduka is confident Magesi will imminently change their fortunes.

“But we are patient, we just need one win. I am sure you will see a different Magesi, a team that plays with confidence. As much as we haven’t won any games, these boys have been doing well, creating those chances, being in those good areas, where they can give oppositions problems,” he added.

“So, it’s positive, we just need that one win and once we get that one win you will see a totally different team, and we strongly believe that we are going to win so many games.

Magesi return to Seshego Stadium on Saturday to host fellow strugglers Siwelele FC, who are winless in their last five games since their opening day win over Golden Arrows in August.
