Joshua Kimmich in talks with Real Madrid | OneFootball

As reported by Christian Falk, Joshua Kimmich is in talks with Real Madrid regarding a potential transfer.

The Bayern Munich midfielder is free to talk to clubs this winter as his contract expires in the summer.

In the event that Kimmich does leave Bayern this summer, Real Madrid is reportedly his ideal option. The German international has taken his time in choosing his next career move and with Real now showing an interest, it could take even longer before he makes a decision.

Bayern have already undergone negotiations with the 29-year-old over a possible contract extension and will continue to do so. Kimmich will first hold meetings with Bayern before entertaining a move away from Bavarian. However, with Real waiting around the corner, Kimmich’s head could be for turning.

Back in November, GGFN reported that Bayern plans on making Kimmich the new face of Bayern.

Sporting director Max Eberl explained:

He continued: “When Neuer and Müller retire, he should become the face of Bayern”.
