Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United at Stamford Bridge last night, marking four defeats in a row in the Premier League.
The last time they did this came way back in 1998, showing just how bad this state of form is for the team and the manager right now. Or more so for the owners, who were the subject of big Chelsea fan protests ahead of the game last night.

Blues fans have had enough and many want the ownership out of the club right now. They also don’t think manager Liam Rosenior is anywhere near good enough and want him gone too. It’s all completely warranted criticism too.
Chelsea fans do not recognise their club anymore, and the drop in standards is well and truly stark indeed.
The Guardian’s Jacob Steinburg was covering the game and wrote after:
‘Think back to Porto in May 2021. Back then, long before anyone in west London had heard of BlueCo, it was Mason Mount who created the winner when Chelsea became kings of Europe for the second time. Five years on, though, this is a club that cannot even be sure that they will be in the Champions League next season.
‘The drop in standards is stark. Chelsea did not do enough to press at United’s defensive issues and, at this rate, are at risk of being dragged into a fight for Conference League qualification. They are four points below fifth-placed Liverpool before the Merseyside derby but when Liam Rosenior looks over his shoulder he will be alarmed by a host of mid-table teams closing in on Chelsea.’
Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior spoke to the media after Chelsea’s defeat to Man United and tried to be positive about the whole thing.
Estevao’s injury last night was another black mark on Chelsea’s season, and after the game Liam Rosenior gave an update on it.
