Joyous Etihad return captured in new-look matchday programme | OneFootball

City fans will be buzzing to be back at the Etihad today - and we’ve captured that feeling on the front of our new-look matchday programme.

The cover of City v Ipswich, to mark the opening home game of the 2024/25 season, celebrates the return of matchday at our magnificent stadium.

Drawn by renowned sports illustrator Dave Flanagan, it showcases the joy felt by fans marching up the Etihad turrets as they head into the stadium again for home matchday one.

It's complete with iconic banana, Four-in-a-Row banner, our trio of new kits and Mario Balotelli’s famous chicken hat!

There's also a nod to Bahia in Manchester, the Brazilian flag on show demonstrating that we’re welcoming our sister club to today’s game.

The inside pages have had a revamp with a host of new features.

There are the usual favourites like Pep Guardiola’s manager notes, our ‘In the City’ news spreads, match reports and Mike Summerbee’s Buzzer column.

But we also bring you ‘Cover Stars’ which focuses on famous editions of programmes past, ‘Six Degrees of Separation’ charting a course from our manager to the opposition manager and a tier list feature highlighting five legends from our visitors.
