Jules Koundé off injured after 13 minutes in Barcelona v Atlético semi-final | OneFootball

Barcelona right-back Jules Koundé went off injured after 13 minutes of the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday.

Atlético won the first leg 4-0. He appeared to hold his calf before stopping his run and going to ground, then removed a bandage from his right calf, as reported by L'Équipe.

The France international, capped 46 times, left the pitch looking distressed alongside a member of Barcelona’s medical staff. On the bench he briefly covered his face.

He was replaced by Spain international Alejandro Balde, who came on at left-back, with Joao Cancelo switching to right-back.

It is a setback for the 27-year-old ahead of the next France camp. Les Bleus have friendlies in the United States at the end of March, on 26 against Brazil and 29 against Colombia.
