Julie Swierot has extended her OL Lyonnes contract to 2029 after a standout loan at FC Nantes.
According to Le Progres, the 20-year-old joined Lyon aged 12 and has earned fresh terms. Her previous deal ran to 2027 after extending her first professional contract, signed in 2023 at 17.
She made 20 elite appearances with three assists on loan at Stade de Reims in 2024-25. At Nantes she played 21 times, scoring two and supplying six. The Canaries finished fourth in the regular season and reached the play-offs, before a 9-0 semi-final defeat to the Lyonnaises.
After an ACL rupture in 2022, Swierot won the U17 Euros in 2023 and finished U19 runner-up in 2025. From U17 to U23 she has 45 caps, 35 starts and nine goals. With OL Lyonnes she lifted the senior title in 2024 and two U19 crowns, making one Champions League and two D1 appearances, with one assist.
She will report to Jonatan Giráldez’s group on 27 July. In June she was called into Laurent Bonadei’s squad for the last two 2027 World Cup qualifiers but did not feature, and a first senior cap remains the next step. Like Maëlys Mendy, back from Paris FC, she faces strong competition yet appears well placed to push for a lasting role.
