Elliott is under contract until 2027 and Liverpool may use this summer as an opportunity to bank a healthy transfer fee for the playmaker.
A price tag of £40m to £50m has been mentioned in previous reports and Elliott is not short of Premier League admirers. A new report from TBR Football lists the top-flight teams interested in Elliott - representing clubs at the top AND bottom of the table.
“Nearly half the Premier League have enquired about Elliott this summer – including his former club Fulham, Tottenham, Newcastle, Everton, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Brentford and West Ham, all of whom are closely monitoring his situation,” the report reads.
But now a new contender is emerging - and the signing could well be oversee by a figure VERY familiar with Elliott and Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp is Red Bull’s Global Head of Football and according to TBR Football the former Liverpool manager wants Elliott as RB Leipzig.
“Klopp and Leipzig are very much in the hunt for his signature,” the report states.
“Elliott is seen as a potential replacement for Xavi Simons at Leipzig, with Klopp a strong admirer of his talent.”
