Roma are preparing their big showdown with Inter.

As the international break winds to a close, the Giallorossi continue to work on their defensive schemes to further improve the solidity of Roma’s backline given the recent inconsistencies and mistakes leading to easy goals conceded.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Evan Ndicka has quickly become a personal favorite of Ivan Juric.

The Croatian technician favors the Ivorian defender over everyone else on the team’s roster. He is the only centreback to have a guaranteed place in the starting line-up.

According to the newspaper, Juric’s plan is to insert Mats Hummels into the line-up soon.

The German veteran would allow Ndicka to slot in on the left flank while Mancini would cover the right side in a 3-man defense.
