Real Madrid have two of the most dangerous forwards in the game in their squad in Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
A little over a year since bringing the two together, though, the Merengues have not been able to figure out the best way to maximise their partnership to the fullest extent.
While Mbappe has shone brightly, Vinicius’ form has been on a slow decline, more so after the Ballon d’Or snub last season.
The hope was that with Xabi Alonso taking over the reins, he would be able to get them operating together like a well-oiled machine, turning this Real Madrid attack into an even more devastating unit. Four games into the season, that has not been the case.
Now, according to Marcos Benito on El Chiringuito TV, Vinicius is very ‘dissatisfied’ at the moment with how things are going.

The Brazilian megastar feels that he has accepted his new role in the team in light of Mbappe’s arrival, but not all his efforts are being recognised or valued by Xabi Alonso.
This comes after the Real Madrid manager had decided to bench Vinicius for the second La Liga game of the season against Real Oviedo.
Alonso also did not hesitate to replace the Brazilian winger against Real Sociedad in just the 68th minute after an ineffective performance, and the player was far from pleased with it.
Now, it is being suggested that there may be some frustration and disgruntlement building up within the attacking superstar concerning his situation at the Santiago Bernabeu.
This could become a worrisome matter for Real Madrid, considering that Vinicius’ contract expires in 2027 and negotiations over a new deal have not been progressing for a while now, with Saudi Arabia lurking in the shadows to strike.
