Leeds United added 10 players in the summer and, with survival the aim, several have already had clear influence. According to Leeds Live, more than £100m was spent and the outlay will look shrewd if they stay up.

Some have been regulars from the start, others have benefited from a switch to a back-three. With three months left, much can change, but four signings look to be providing value beyond their fees.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin stands out, a free transfer who has 10 goals by mid-February, his first double figures in five seasons. His form has prompted talk of an England recall.

Gabriel Gudmundsson, around £10m from Lille, has justified the price, diligent in attack and defence and quick to respond after setbacks.

James Justin did not make his full Premier League debut for Leeds until late November, yet the £8m signing has become important in a 3-5-2. He has covered right-back, right centre-back and the left.

Lukas Nmecha has not been a regular, but arriving for nothing, seven goals as second-choice striker represent a strong return. It is unfortunate he has not had more starts.
