Multiple sources claim that Juventus have opened preliminary talks with Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar, as negotiations for Emiliano Martinez and Guglielmo Vicario stall.
Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali has confirmed interest in Martinez and Vicario, highlighting the Bianconeri’s need to sign a new starting goalkeeper this summer.
“The goalkeeper and striker are priorities, these are fundamental roles for a team,” he said.
“We have to work calmly, because as of today, there are some economic demands that are very elevated.”
According to multiple sources in Italy, however, there’s another goalkeeper who has caught the Old Lady’s attention: Roma’s Svilar, winner of the Best Goalkeeper Award in Serie A for the last two seasons.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Gazzetta, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, the Old Lady has enquired about the 26-year-old, who is under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2030.
Both Roma and Juventus must make a capital gain by the end of the month, today, to avoid potential sanctions for breach of FFP. The Giallorossi, however, want to reach their target without selling any of their top stars, including Svilar.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi have denied ongoing negotiations with Juventus, but it is believed they didn’t hear back from the Bianconeri after revealing their €60m asking price for Svilar.
According to Gazzetta, Juventus hope Roma will eventually lower their demands to €50m, but the Bianconeri also face financial issues and currently seem unable to table an offer that matches Roma’s asking price.
