Juventus rounded out their new-look front office by bringing in former Milan and Roma exec Frederic Massara, who was recently ousted for butting heads with Gian Piero Gasperini, and they have quickly been linked to one of his past top signings, Theo Hernandez, Mediaset reports.
The fullback wouldn’t mind returning to Italy, also for family-related reasons, just a year after his transfer to Al-Hilal. The Rossoneri sold him for a discounted fee, €25M, because he had just a year left on his deal and didn’t want to prolong it. He tallied 9 goals and 6 assists in 44 matches in 2025/2026.
However, Hernandez earns €20M in the Middle East, far more than Juventus and any other European side would be willing to pay him. Therefore, in addition to forcing his way out, he’d have to take a massive pay cut. The Bianconeri could eventually acquire a new left-back, as Andrea Cambiaso is reportedly on the market.
They have shown much more urgency in bolstering the middle of the defense. La Gazzetta dello Sport informs. They are waiting for Jhon Lucumi’s release clause to expire to start negotiating with Bologna. Instead, Tarik Muharemovic has asked for a higher salary than they thought, €3/4M per year. He and his camp seem to be waiting for the English sides to join the race. The Old Lady could be content with cashing in at certain numbers. Sunderland are keen on both Serie A center-backs.
He’d be the right kind of guy to target if Cambiaso left, but everything has been pretty quiet at that front. Luring stars back from Saudi Arabia is a pricey endeavor, and no Serie A team has done it yet.
