Finding a new home for Marcus Rashford in this window has not proven to be easy for Manchester United with plenty of clubs leaving the race in recent times.
The Mancunian dropped a bombshell after being dropped for the Manchester derby when he claimed he was open to leaving his boyhood club.
Ruben Amorim understandably has not picked him since, criticising his mentality in training, with the pair’s relationship said to be beyond repair.
And with less than five days to go for the January window to close, time is running out for the Carrington graduate to find an exit from Old Trafford.
AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund were interested but the forward’s adamant stance of joining only Barcelona meant the duo moved on to other targets.
The Catalan giants have failed to make space for the Englishman in their wage bill with United asking for the Spanish side to pay the 27-year-old’s full wages in case they do move for him between now and the end of the window.
Recent reports claimed Fenerbahce and Galatasaray had joined the race with The Peoples Person even relaying that Galatasaray are close to an agreement.
But F365 have relayed Juventus’ late interest claiming they are pushing very hard to stave off competition from La Liga giants.
“The Italian club has intensified negotiations with United to finalize his loan until the end of the season. However, the competition for Rashford is fierce.
“FC Barcelona has also shown great interest in adding him to their squad, which could complicate Juve’s plans. While both Milan and Borussia Dortmund have withdrawn from the race, Barcelona holds the advantage of being the forward’s preferred destination.”
Landing spots for the England international are few and far between with Rashford declining the chance to join the cash-rich Saudi Pro League while MLS clubs had also tried their luck a while back.
Plenty of ex-United stars have called for the United No 10 to be banished from the dressing room and the player will be hoping to leave as soon as possible as gametime is unlikely to be on offer should he remain.
INEOS would also hope for an exit as Rashford regaining form is the best possible scenario for them as they seek to maximise his transfer value when they sell him in the summer, all of which will constitute pure profit.
Domestic rivals like Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United could provide the solution even though the co-owners do not want to strengthen a direct domestic rival.
