Juventus isn’t stopping at Zeki Celik and could also try to snatch Lorenzo Pellegrini from Roma.
After reaching an agreement with the Turkish full-back, who is expected in the capital for a medical before his sudden arrival at the club, a new push has reportedly begun in Turin, likely to worry Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to Tuttosport, the Giallorossi coach is reportedly particularly upset about the loss of Celik, a player he had asked the club to retain and considered important for his versatility and experience.
The terms and timing of the deal have apparently made Roma’s defeat even worse.
The Roman club now risks a second setback. Juventus sporting director Ricky Massara reportedly has an excellent relationship with Pellegrini and is working to convince him to move to Turin.
The midfielder has reportedly already been presented with a contract proposal, which is currently being reviewed by his entourage. The Giallorossi captain could provide a response in the next few hours.
Pellegrini is carefully evaluating all the options that have emerged on the market, while continuing to prioritize staying at Roma and Gasperini’s coaching project. Juventus, however, has concretely expressed its interest and is ready to take advantage of any difficulties in the renewal negotiations.
