Juventus are satisfied with what they have seen with Francisco Conceiçao and have already started negotiating with Porto to acquire him. The ongoing loan deal doesn’t have an option to buy, but the attacker will have a €30M release clause next summer.

According to Sky, the Bianconeri will end up signing him permanently for about €33/34M. They shelled out €7M to have him this campaign, wages included. He has appeared four times so far, missing a few games due to a thigh problem, scoring twice and providing one assist.

Juventus are tight with his agent Jorge Mendes, who helped broker the peculiar Conceiçao transfer last summer. It came together quickly and gave them the inside track for the future. Porto president Andreas Villas-Boas commented on the winger a few days ago (via Calciomercato).

“He’s a craque and an important player for us. Let’s see how things go. Evidently, a talent like him is pricey, that’s why they gave him this valuation.”

Our Take on Juventus and Conceiçao

That’d be quite the disbursement, considering they’ll pay €35M for Nicolas Gonzalez in the same role, but his early showings justify it. Activating the release clause was always a long shot as they generally need to be paid on the nail, which rarely happens. Plus, the timing, as it’s reportedly valid in July, would leave the door open to other teams. They should arguably come to terms quickly because his valuation might go up if he performs as he’s been doing, as he’s just scratching the surface.
