Igor Tudor and Juventus received positive news on Thursday, as winger Francisco Conceicao has returned to full training with the rest of the first-team group and is in contention to feature in Serie A this weekend according to the latest updates.

Conceicao back in contention for Juventus

Conceicao was forced to withdraw from the Portugal national team camp during the September international break, and was not able to participate in Juventus’s last two matches, both of which have been thrillers with the 4-3 Derby d’Italia win over Inter and the 4-4 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Conceicao was named among the substitutes for the 4-4 draw against Dortmund on Tuesday night, despite the fact that he had not fully trained ahead of kick-off. Unsurprisingly, he was left as an unused substitute on the night.

However, according to updates from various outlets including TMW and Ilbianconero, Conceicao trained fully with the rest of the Juvbentus first-team group on Thursday, and is now targeting a place in the line-up when the Old Lady take on Hellas Verona on Saturday.

Tudor fielded an extra midfielder in Teun Koopmeiners in Conceicao’s absence for the 4-3 win over Inter last weekend, and then decided to bring in Jonathan David to fill Conceicao’s role for the 4-4 draw with Dortmund.

Fabio Miretti, meanwhile, is still training individually. Arkadiusz Milik also remains out with a long-term issue.
