Juventus haven’t been deterred by PSG asking for a lofty sum after their initial approach for Randal Kolo Muani, as they covet him as much as Joshua Zirkzee, who blossomed at Bologna under Thiago Motta, Alfredo Pedullà reports.
Tottenham have joined the race for the Frenchman. The Bianconeri have been after him for a few weeks, hoping to bring him in on loan. The French champions are seeking a permanent switch to recoup part of what they had invested for now. He has scored twice in 14 appearances so far, although mostly off the bench.
Juventus are waiting in the wings for both Kolo Muani and Zirkzee. The latter didn’t turn things around after a coaching change. He was replaced after just 33 minutes in the recent matches versus Newcastle United, fueling the chatter about an abrupt January departure.
The Red Devils haven’t gotten there yet. It may hinge on whether they’ll land a big-ticket striker. If there were an opening, the Old Lady would try to concoct a loan in this case too. The English powerful spent €42.5M to sign him from Bologna last summer.
According to Sky, Milan had poked around the PSG outcast last week before axing Paulo Fonseca and appointing Sergio Conceiçao.
They seem to like a reclamation project, and, while their season has been underwhelming to say the least, there’d be a lot to work with there. In this case, the Bianconeri can wait for the late-window bargains. Perhaps they won’t even need an addition if Arkadiusz Milik looks good enough and Nicolas Gonzalez proves he can handle the role.
