Juventus remain firmly interested in Granit Xhaka as the club considers strengthening its midfield, according to reports from la Gazzetta dello Sport and Bianconera News. The Swiss international, coming off a title-winning campaign with Bayer Leverkusen, has caught the attention of Juventus for his leadership qualities and ability to elevate teammates on and off the ball.

Sources suggest that Juventus view the 32-year-old Xhaka as a potential solution to bolster their engine room, especially after the departure of Bayer manager Xabi Alonso prompted speculation about Xhaka’s own future in Germany. La Gazzetta points out the Turin side’s appreciation for Xhaka’s on-field influence, noting he “usually brings out the best in those around him.”

Juventus are not alone in monitoring the midfielder. Milan reportedly showed interest in Xhaka earlier in the transfer window, though their pursuit appears to have stalled as Juventus step up their interest. However, competition from Saudi Arabia now poses a real threat to the Italian club’s chances, with Saudi sides reportedly making substantial overtures that could tempt the player with lucrative contracts.

The financial aspect could work in Juventus’ favour, as sources indicate a fee between €13 million and €15 million may be sufficient to convince Bayer Leverkusen to sell, considering Xhaka’s age. Such a figure would make him an attainable target for a Serie A side seeking experience and pedigree in the heart of midfield.

Juventus’ ongoing squad reconstruction under new technical leadership has placed a premium on signing proven winners and leaders, with Xhaka viewed internally as a candidate to provide immediate impact. Yet the club remains mindful of mounting competition from abroad and the player’s own priorities as he considers the next step in his career.

While conversations around Xhaka’s future are said to be ongoing, all sides are closely monitoring the rapidly evolving dynamics in the European and Middle Eastern markets, with Juventus hoping their project and prestige can trump higher offers from elsewhere.
