Juventus are poised to reignite their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani this summer after a failed January move, according to Calciomercato.
Juve’s interest comes as little surprise given Kolo Muani’s outstanding six-month loan in Turin last season, where he scored 10 goals in 20 appearances.
Despite the Frenchman’s clear desire to return to Italy in January, a deal failed to materialise.
With the winter window closed, Juventus are now targeting a permanent deal in July.
The Bianconeri see the 27-year-old as the ideal focal point for their attack, especially with Dusan Vlahovic’s future up in the air.
Kolo Muani has struggled for league form in North London this season—scoring just three times, all in the Champions League—but his previous Serie A exploits remain a major appeal to the Juve hierarchy.
His market value has dropped sharply from the €90 million PSG paid Eintracht Frankfurt, with a summer move now expected to cost Juventus around €40m.
PSG are hoping to use Juve’s interest in Kolo Muani to their advantage in negotiations for Khephren Thuram, but the midfielder is considered untouchable in Turin and talks over a new deal are underway.
With both Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik sidelined by injury and Lois Openda struggling for form, Juventus will be relying on Jonathan David to maintain his fine form—having delivered nine direct goal contributions in his last 12 outings.
After opening February with a 4-1 demolition of Parma, Luciano Spalletti’s men travel to Bergamo for their Coppa Italia quarter-final clash with Atalanta on Thursday.
