Former Bayern Munich legend Oliver Kahn has taken aim at Karl-Heinz Rummenigge for still being involved in decision-making at the club and refusing to retire from their positions.
“You hear things like, 'We'll step down at some point when the right people are in place," Kahn told Sky Germany, regarding the two members of the Bavarian side's supervisory board.
"This whole thing has been dragging on for many, many years now. And apparently, they still haven't found anyone [to replace them in their positions].
"From what I can see from the outside at the moment: A new board has come in, including in the marketing department. They've taken a step forward.
“But otherwise, as far as restructuring is concerned, the whole thing is still moving at a snail's pace,” scoffed the 56-year-old, who played over 632 times for Bayern.
Uli Hoeness has been part of Bayern Munich's hierarchy for the guts of 40 years now, while Rumminegge has been present in similar roles in excess of 30 years.
