Kaio César named Corinthians player of the month after just two games | OneFootball

Kaio César has been voted Corinthians’ player of the month for February with an average rating of 7.8, despite featuring in only two matches. According to Meu Timao, the award was based on supporters’ Fan Ratings compiled after games.

The 22-year-old, on loan from Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, made his debut off the bench against Flamengo in the Supercopa do Brasil victory and set up Yuri Alberto. He then started against Capivariano in the Campeonato Paulista.

In total he has played only 28 minutes for the club. He suffered a right hamstring injury early in the Capivariano match and left the field, and he remains in physical transition.

His score topped regular starters in February. Gabriel Paulista was second on 7.6, with Hugo Souza and João Pedro Tchoca joint third on 7.3.

The forward is aiming to return against Coritiba on 11 March. Corinthians host the Paraná side at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
