Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Jasond Gonzalez is set to join Israeli Premier League side Beitar Jerusalem on a six-month loan from Club Always Ready.
The Bolivian champions, fresh off their latest title, sent the 26-year-old forward on loan to Chinese second-tier outfit Shijiazhuang Gongfu in July 2025.
Gonzalez made a notable impact in China, bagging five goals and providing two assists in just 12 appearances for the League One side. Across the 2025 season, he racked up an impressive 17 goals and three assists in 28 matches.
Despite his contributions, SJZ Gongfu opted not to trigger the buy-out clause when his loan expired in December, seeing the striker return to his parent club in South America.
Now, Always Ready have greenlit another loan move, this time to Beitar Jerusalem, with a purchase option included. It remains to be seen if the Israeli giants will make his switch permanent.
Gonzalez arrives at a club locked in a heated title battle in the Ligat Ha'Al, with Beitar Jerusalem level on 42 points with league leaders Hapoel Beer Sheva at the summit of Israeli football.
The Jerusalem outfit boasts an illustrious history, having clinched the Israeli league title six times and lifted the State Cup on eight occasions. However, they're still chasing their first league crown since the 2007/08 season.
Gonzalez's fresh start in Europe follows a rocky stint with Chiefs, where he struggled to make an impact, failing to score in 13 appearances across all competitions.
