Sheffield United have signed Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
The 30-year-old England international moves to Bramall Lane in a bid to revive his career after falling out of favour at the Etihad Stadium.
Phillips has barely featured for City this season, making just seven minutes in their Carabao Cup victory over Huddersfield in September.
The midfielder joined Pep Guardiola’s side in 2022 from boyhood club Leeds United on a six-year contract reportedly worth £45 million, but has struggled to secure regular playing time.
This loan marks Phillips’ third temporary move away from City, following spells at Ipswich Town last season and West Ham in 2023-24.
Sheffield United, currently 17th in the Championship, have agreed a straight loan deal with no option or obligation to buy in the summer.
