FC Bayern continues to search for a backup for Harry Kane. Now, a German U21 national team player is being linked with the Munich club.

FC Bayern is apparently still on the lookout for a new striker for the upcoming season. The focus is once again on finding a backup for Harry Kane. The Englishman is the undisputed starter up front, but the Munich club wants to better secure the position behind their star player for the future.

One name now being linked to FC Bayern is Nicolo Tresoldi. The German U21 international has had a strong season with Club Brugge, putting him on the radar of numerous clubs. As reported by Tuttomercato , Bayern are also keeping an eye on the 21-year-old center forward.

Tresoldi recently missed out on a spot on the German national team’s World Cup roster. National team coach Julian Nagelsmann explained when announcing the roster that the forward had missed the cut by a hair’s breadth. While this is a setback for Tresoldi, it is unlikely to slow his athletic development.

The former Hannover pro has continued to develop rapidly in Belgium. In his debut season for Bruges, he racked up an impressive 32 points in 58 competitive matches and was also the top scorer in the Jupiler Pro League last season.

Of particular interest: According to information from Transferfeed, Tresoldi is considered head coach Vincent Kompany’s top choice.

The Munich club had already tried to fill the position behind Kane last summer. Shortly before the end of the transfer window, FC Bayern signed Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea FC on loan with an option to buy. However, the club’s management let that option expire.

As a result, the search for a long-term solution up front remains a priority. Tresoldi would fit the profile of a player who combines development potential, physical presence, and a goal-scoring instinct. Since his move from Hannover 96 to Bruges, the forward has quickly evolved from a promising talent into a top-tier striker.

However, FC Bayern is not the only club reportedly interested in Tresoldi. In addition to the Munich-based side, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, and Tottenham Hotspur are also mentioned as potential suitors. Furthermore, Como 1907 is said to be actively courting the German U21 international.

Álvaro Morata has so far failed to impress the Italians as hoped. Furthermore, the club led by coach Cesc Fàbregas is gearing up for its first Champions League season. According to the report, Bruges is already preparing for a possible departure of Tresoldi.

No concrete negotiations with FC Bayern have been reported so far. One thing is clear, however: Munich continues to explore options for the role behind Kane. After his strong season, Tresoldi is among the most exciting German strikers on the market.
