Former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema has on Friday sent a message of appreciation the way of ex-teammate Vinícius Jr.
This comes fresh off an outing to remember for Vinícius on the international front.
Brazil locked horns with Colombia in a crunch World Cup qualifying fixture in the early hours of Friday, ultimately emerging on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline.
And it was that man Vinícius who proved himself match-winner, in nothing short of spectacular fashion.
After picking the ball up a full 25 yards from goal deep into injury-time, the 24-year-old cut inside to unleash an unstoppable drive into the far corner of the Colombia net.
As much culminated in a crucial three points for Brazil, and the Man of the Match prize for Vinícius himself.
And as alluded to above, quick to make clear his support for the Ballon d’Or runner-up earlier today was Karim Benzema.
Taking to the comments section of Vinícius’ post-match Instagram post, frontman Benzema wrote:
‘No.1 little brother’
