Moise Kean had another incredible display midweek versus Inter, sinking the opponents with a brace and improving to 15 goals in the season. He surpassed Marcus Thuram and only trails Mateo Retegui in the ‘capocannoniere’ standings.
The striker has been completely revived by his Fiorentina switch after his paltry and injury-filled seasons at Juventus, Tuttomercatoweb informs. Raffaele Palladino, who already tried to bring him to Monza, has been pulling the right strings to make him thrive all year long.
Kean has scored a goal every 115 minutes so far. He’s up to 20 considering all competitions and the Italy matches. He’s on pace to finish the season with over 30 to his name.
The striker never really managed to challenge Dusan Vlahovic in Turin. He didn’t even hit the net once in 2023/2024. He did it 14 times in 3 campaigns in his Bianconeri return. The Old Lady agreed to ship him off for €13M plus €5M bonuses.
The 24-year-old agreed to a long-term contract with Fiorentina, until 2029, but it contains a €52M release clause. While it looked like a farfetched figure at first, top teams might take a look at him in the summer given his brilliant season. It’ll be up only to him to decide at that point.
The Viola couldn’t hope for a better return on their investment. He might have juicy opportunities coming down the pike, but it’d be stunning if he left anytime soon as he has found the perfect home after some rough years. It’s surely a regret for Juventus, but they didn’t have much of a choice since he was entering the final year of his deal and wasn’t going to extend it.
