Ken Bates, former owner of Leeds United and Chelsea, has died aged 94.
Chelsea said in a statement that he died peacefully in Monaco on Saturday morning, surrounded by his wife and family.

The statement mourned their former chairman and offered condolences to his wife Suzannah, his family and friends.
It praised his determination to fight for Chelsea during difficult periods and to drive the team to winning trophies.
It added that his contribution would not be forgotten.
