Kenny Dalglish reveals cancer treatment after accidental social media post

On Tuesday, Kenny Dalglish revealed he is undergoing cancer treatment after inadvertently disclosing it on social media, then issuing a statement with details.

The former Celtic and Liverpool forward, 75, said in a post that the treatment is going well, and that he would have preferred the matter to remain private but his lack of tech skills left him no choice.

He also thanked the medical staff for their care and discretion, adding that they do their profession proud.

Dalglish was a star for Celtic and Liverpool in the 1970s and 1980s. With the Reds he won the European Cup 3 times and the English title 6 times, before managing the club twice.

There was a message of support from Liverpool on social media for Sir Kenny.
