Arsenal will entertain Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium this Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in this EFL Cup semi-final second leg clash. The Gunners managed to earn a dominant 4-0 win over Leeds United recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.

Mikel Arteta will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first XI for this contest. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Kepa Arrizabalaga will feature in between the sticks for the Gunners as he looks to keep a clean sheet this Tuesday night. William Saliba will continue to operate alongside Gabriel at the heart of the Arsenal backline as they look to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Jurrien Timber will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Piero Hincapie hopes to pur in a solid display on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Riccardo Calafiori and Ben White will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Odegaard will make up Arsenal’s midfield. Their main focus would be to win the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.

Kai Havertz and Eberechi Eze will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Gabriel Martinelli will try to give a good account of himself on the left flank, while Noni Madueke looks to put his pace to good use on the right-wing.

Viktor Gyokeres will lead the charge for the North London club up top. He has to find a way to be a real menace in the final third.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Gunners are in need of a goal by then.
