Liverpool will welcome Burnley at Anfield this Saturday as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a dominant 4-1 win over Barnsley recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.

Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this contest. Milos Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike and Alisson Becker could all play from the start of this game.

4-2-3-1 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley

Defence

Alisson Becker will feature in goal for the Merseyside club after he was rested against Barnsley. Ibrahima Konate will once again play alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of Slot’s defence as they look to keep things solid when defending inside their half.

Jeremie Frimpong will fill in as the right-back, while Milos Kerkez hopes to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.

Andy Robertson and Joe Gomez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Alexis Mac Allister will anchor the midfield along with Ryan Gravenberch as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and creating some decent chances in the final third.

The gifted trio of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai will function just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Reds are to create enough chances to earn a convincing win this Saturday.

Trey Nyoni and Curtis Jones will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike will lead the line for the Merseyside club in the final third. He has to find a way to be a real threat up top.

Federico Chiesa will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
