The fixture that German football calls Der Klassiker remains an important part of the calendar, and this season it will have a direct bearing on the title race. Bayern have an eight-point advantage over second-placed Dortmund, so this is a game that BVB simply have to win.
However, Niko Kovac's side have had the worst possible preparation for this Saturday showdown, after they tumbled out of the Champions League thanks to a feeble 4-1 defeat at Atalanta in the playoffs. Dortmund had a 2-0 first-leg advantage, but dreadful defending saw that wiped out by half time.
With extra time looming, BVB keeper Gregor Kobel gifted the ball to Mario Pasalic, and the Croatian's searching cross caused the hapless Ramy Bensebaini to give away a stoppage-time penalty. Lazar Samardzic lashed the spot-kick into the top corner, and a costly defeat for Dortmund was sealed. The financial cost of that defeat is significant, as is the blow to confidence.
Dortmund's only league defeat this term was at Bayern, a game that saw them completely outplayed until the closing stages of a 2-1 loss. Indeed, our friends at Opta tell us that Dortmund are on the league's longest current unbeaten run, having not lost any of their last 11 top-flight matches.
While I believe Bayern are the better side by a distance, I can't be backing them to win here at 1.67. However, I will go for Michael Olise to score at 7/4. While the French international is known for his league-leading assist total, he also nets in key games. The ex-Crystal Palace winger scored in the reverse fixture, and he scored in the 5-1 win at RB Leipzig. Olise has netted 13 goals in all competitions this term.

The long-held view of a Diego Simeone-led Atletico is a gnarled, hard-bitten bunch of warriors, ready to fight all comers for a 1-0 win. The current reality is significantly different - Atleti just scored seven goals across two legs of their playoff success against Club Brugge in the Champions League, and they recently demolished Barcelona 4-0 in the Copa del Rey.
A squad that already boasted the attacking talents of Julian Alvarez, Antoine Griezmann and the in-form Alexander Sorloth had added a new string to the bow with the arrival of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. Since the Nigerian international moved to the Metropolitano he has netted four goals in seven appearances.
Lookman was used a sub in midweek, so he has a great chance of starting this game, and at 21/10 I can't resist backing him to score. He'll be up against a rock-bottom Oviedo side that has won just three league games and has conceded 39 goals in 24 La Liga matches. They lost the reverse fixture 2-0 and in their home games against Real Madrid and Barcelona they lost twice and conceded three goals in each defeat.

It's a curious time for fans of Inter. They have watched their beloved Nerazzurri build a ten-point lead at the top of Serie A, and only a collapse of monumental proportions will deny them the Scudetto in new coach Christian Chivu's first campaign at the helm. Conversely, there has been much hand-wringing since the fully warranted Champions League exit at the hands of Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.
Bodo won both legs, and deservedly so. They defended diligently, and shredded their opponents on the counter-attack. It was one of the best collective displays in this season's competition.
Inter now have to pick up the pieces as they chase a domestic double, and Daniele de Rossi's Genoa are no pushovers. The visitors have lost just two of their last nine matches in Serie A, and crucially for our purposes they have scored in seven of those games.
If you look at Genoa's away games against big hitters, they have scored at Roma, Milan, Napoli and Como, and I'm happy to back BTTS here at a hefty 2.22. Inter have kept just two clean sheets in their last six games.
