Following their comfortable 5-2 victory over Sevilla on Sunday, FC Barcelona returned to training this Monday in a typical recovery session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
It was a day filled with celebrations for the Blaugrana as they not only secured a commanding win but also saw Joan Laporta get re-elected as club president.
The match against Sevilla also saw coach Hansi Flick rest important players such as Lamine Yamal, Eric Garcia and Fermin Lopez. Pedri was also substituted at half-time, with an eye on the upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against Newcastle United.
Now, according to SPORT, both Lamine and Eric are back to full fitness on the pitch as they trained at high intensity during today’s session.
It must be remembered that Lamine missed a day of training leading up to the Sevilla clash due to discomfort. As such, the young winger played a little over 25 minutes in the second half.
Meanwhile, Eric had missed the game against Newcastle United last week due to a muscle overload and did not play against Sevilla either, remaining as an unused substitute.

The defender’s condition was nothing serious, but Flick chose not to risk him ahead of the decisive Champions League match and the demanding schedule that follows.
Now, in the first training session of the week, just over two days before the return leg against Newcastle, both Lamine and Eric trained on the pitch alongside the rest of the substitutes, doing so at 100% level.
Indeed, the winger and the versatile defender worked at a higher intensity together with players who had not started the Sevilla match, including Ronald Araujo, Alvaro Cortes, Fermin, Wojciech Szczesny, Diego Kochen, Marcus Rashford, and Ferran Torres.
Everything indicates that both Lamine and Eric will be fully fit and available for the Champions League clash.
However, Barcelona will still be without several players, including Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong, Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde, who remain sidelined.
