Denzel Dumfries and Robin Gosens could be the decisive battle in today’s Serie A clash between Fiorentina and Inter Milan.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908.
Inter take on Fiorentina in Serie A this evening.
The match will be a makeup contest for the clash between the two at the start of December which they had temporarily abandoned due to a medical emergency for Edoard Bove.
Coaches Simone Inzaghi and Raffaele Palladino will be considering their tactics for the match.
And one thing that’s clear is that the wide areas will play a big role.
One player who’s become an absolutely key figure for Inter in recent weeks is wingback Denzel Dumfries.
The Dutchman has had one of the best runs of his time at Inter. Particularly since the start of 2025, Dumfries has been one of the Nerazzurri’s most in-form players.

Dumfries has offered goals, but not just that. He is also the player who offers an outlet and stretches the pitch.
Both on the touchline and getting forward and coming more centrally, Dumfries creates an important dimension for Inter’s possession and attacking play.
But opposing Dumfries will be a familiar face for Inter.
Former Nerazzurri and Atalanta wingback Robin Gosens joined Fiorentina last summer.
And as with Dumfries at Inter, the German has been a key player at both ends of the pitch for La Viola.
